Solutions in Restorative Care Giving
Course Description:
Restorative care programs are very important parts of the current care delivery and payment processes and must be properly established, staffed and monitored to have impact on outcomes and payment. This all day interactive session will focus on the regulatory structure of the Restorative program as well as the staffing, training and documentation processes. The impact of Restorative programs on payment and case mix will also be discussed. The session will be led by Leah Klusch, the author of the book Solutions in Restorative Caregiving and also a frequent presenter at the state, regional and national level on this topic. She will discuss the details of the process and the impact the program can have on compliance, payment and clinical outcomes. Documentation processes will be reviewed and the co-ordination of the Restorative program with Rehab. Resources will be discussed that currently impact the program from the RAI Manual, Regulatory Tags and the RUG IV payment process. This is a must do session for administrators clinical and operational leadership, Restorative nurses, corporate consultants and therapy professionals.
